Nonna Al Dente

Nonna’s branding was built on the idea of belonging: a sense of warmth, home, and being part of a place created together. The original name Nonna Pasta al dente became the starting point for developing the verbal layer. The word always shaped the name Nonna – pasta (always) al dente, giving the brand its character and clearly defining its standard: professionalism rooted in Italian tradition.

The logo was created from custom letterforms inspired by Italian modernism. The same construction also informed the letter O, which evolved into two key motifs: a modular pattern and a geometric heart symbolizing the Nonna — the heart of the place.

Within the space, a subtle narrative conveys Nonna’s presence through short texts and warm observations, such as those placed on the entrance door. The story guides the guest from the very threshold, reinforcing the “always al dente” standard.

The identity has a distinct, consistent voice. It combines expertise with care,
forming a contemporary visual system built around the figure of Nonna:
precise and rooted in tradition.

Her character is grounded in a stable foundation:
pasta made with attention and always cooked al dente.
